Mount Meru is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, standing at 4,566 meters above sea level. Located within Arusha National Park, Mount Meru offers an incredible trekking experience filled with diverse landscapes, rich wildlife, and breathtaking views.

Often considered the perfect warm-up climb before tackling Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru takes climbers through lush forests, open grasslands, volcanic ridges, and dramatic crater scenery. Along the trail, trekkers may encounter giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, and a variety of bird species, making the journey unique compared to many other mountain climbs.

The summit, known as Socialist Peak, rewards climbers with spectacular sunrise views over Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscapes of northern Tanzania.
