Begin in Tarangire National Park, a distinctive wilderness famous for its giant baobab trees and impressive elephant herds. The Tarangire River provides an important source of water for wildlife, attracting elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and numerous antelope species, particularly during the dry season.

Continue into the legendary Serengeti National Park, where the landscape expands into vast golden plains stretching towards the horizon. The Serengeti supports enormous populations of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, together with lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other predators. Depending on the season, the plains may also become part of the spectacular Great Migration.

The journey then moves towards the Ngorongoro Crater, an extraordinary volcanic caldera containing one of Tanzania’s richest concentrations of wildlife. Descend into the crater and explore its grasslands, wetlands and woodland while searching for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife.

Day 01 :

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The Journey Begins Among Giants

Your safari begins in Arusha with a morning departure towards Tarangire National Park.

As you leave the city behind, the landscape gradually changes into the open countryside of northern Tanzania before reaching the distinctive wilderness of Tarangire.

After entering the park, begin your first game drive through a landscape of ancient baobabs, acacia woodland and open grasslands.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephants. Large family groups can often be seen moving through the woodland and gathering around water sources. The Tarangire River plays an important role in sustaining wildlife, particularly during the dry season.

Keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, impalas and other antelopes. Lions and other predators may also be encountered.

Enjoy lunch during your safari before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later, leave the park and travel to your selected mid-range lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Following the Wild Horizon

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and begin your journey towards Serengeti National Park.

The route takes you through changing landscapes before opening into the immense plains of the Serengeti.

Once inside the park, begin your game drive while travelling towards your accommodation.

The Serengeti is renowned for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Large herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move across the plains, while predators follow the abundance of prey.

Search for lions resting in the grass, cheetahs in open areas and hyenas moving through the ecosystem. With patience and good fortune, you may also encounter a leopard.

Continue your game drive into the afternoon before arriving at your accommodation.

Enjoy dinner and settle into a comfortable evening surrounded by the Serengeti wilderness.

Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the plains. The cooler morning hours offer excellent opportunities to observe wildlife activity.

Your guide will follow current wildlife movements and seasonal conditions to determine the most promising areas to explore.

Search for lion prides, cheetahs, hyenas and elusive leopards while also appreciating the incredible diversity of herbivores across the plains.

You may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras, giraffes browsing across the grasslands, elephants moving through woodland and buffalo grazing in open areas.

Depending on the season, you may also encounter migrating herds associated with the Great Migration. The location of the migration changes throughout the year, making every safari season different.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Take this opportunity to search for wildlife one more time before leaving the park. Depending on the season, you may encounter herds moving across the plains or resident wildlife around water and grazing areas.

Later, begin your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

As you leave the Serengeti, the landscape gradually changes from open grasslands to the greener and elevated scenery of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Arrive at your accommodation near the crater rim and take time to relax.

The evening provides an opportunity to enjoy the cool highland atmosphere and prepare for the following day's crater exploration.

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive.

The crater is a vast volcanic caldera whose enclosed ecosystem supports an exceptional variety of wildlife.

Explore the crater floor while searching for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and various antelope species.

The crater is also an important habitat for black rhinoceros, although sightings are uncommon and never guaranteed.

After your crater exploration, ascend from the caldera and continue towards Lake Manyara National Park.

If time and park conditions permit, enjoy an afternoon game drive through Lake Manyara's diverse habitats.

Explore groundwater forests, open grasslands and areas surrounding the lake while searching for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, baboons and numerous bird species.

The park is also known for its tree-climbing lions, although this behaviour is not guaranteed to be observed.

Later, continue to your mid-range accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

The Final Morning in the Wild

After breakfast, return to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive.

The park may be smaller than Serengeti and Tarangire, but its variety of habitats makes it an interesting final destination.

Explore the forest and open areas while looking for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, baboons and different antelope species.

Lake Manyara also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities. Depending on the season, the lake and surrounding wetlands can attract a wide variety of water-associated and migratory birds.

After your game drive, leave the park and begin your journey back to Arusha.

Enjoy lunch along the way before arriving in Arusha, bringing your six-day journey through the wild heart of Tanzania to an end.
