Your adventure begins in Tarangire, where enormous baobabs rise above the savannah and elephants move through the woodland in family groups. The park’s seasonal rivers and varied habitats attract a remarkable range of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes and predators.
You then continue to Lake Manyara, a compact but remarkably diverse park lying beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Its groundwater forests, open grasslands, wetlands and lake environment support elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, baboons and an impressive variety of birdlife. The park is also known for its occasional tree-climbing lions.
The journey then enters the vast Serengeti, where the horizon seems to disappear into endless grasslands. This extraordinary ecosystem supports huge populations of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, together with lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other predators. Depending on the season, you may also encounter the spectacular movements of the Great Migration.
The final chapter takes you into the Ngorongoro Crater, a massive volcanic caldera formed millions of years ago. Its dramatic walls surround a wildlife-rich ecosystem of grasslands, wetlands and woodland where you can search for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest and the elusive black rhinoceros.
