Your safari begins in Arusha with a morning departure towards Tarangire National Park.

After arriving at the park, begin your first game drive through a landscape characterized by ancient baobab trees, open grasslands and woodland.

Tarangire is particularly renowned for its elephants, and you may encounter large family groups moving between feeding areas and water sources. The Tarangire River is especially important to wildlife during the dry season.

Search for lion prides, cheetahs, hyenas and, with good fortune, elusive leopards. Beyond the predators, the Serengeti offers opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and numerous bird species.

Depending on your travel dates, you may also encounter areas associated with the Great Migration. The location of the migrating herds changes throughout the year according to rainfall, water and grazing conditions.
