From Tarangire, continue into the legendary Serengeti National Park, the heart of this safari. Its enormous grasslands support some of Africa’s most impressive concentrations of prey, creating ideal conditions for predators. Here, you will have opportunities to search for lion prides, cheetahs, hyenas and elusive leopards while also experiencing the spectacular herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles that define the Serengeti.
The Serengeti also forms a major part of the Great Migration, one of nature’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles. Depending on the season and your location, you may encounter migrating herds moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing and water.
Your final destination is the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, where a vast volcanic caldera creates a natural sanctuary for wildlife. Descend onto the crater floor and explore grasslands, wetlands and woodland inhabited by lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest and other species.
